What’s Ahead of us This Week on X-Factor

Another week of the X-Factor has passed us by, leaving another broken hearted contestant behind. There was excitement galore on the stage this week as the hopefuls sang either a Michael Jackson belter or a Queen classic, and at one point there was even a stage invasion! Aired on TV3 and sponsored by DoneDeal, We take a look at all the happenings and scandals going on this week, and what’s ahead of us this weekend on X-Factor! Stereo kicks It’s triple trouble this week for Mel B – now that Paul Akister has been axed, the former Spice Girl has lost three boys in as many weeks. Going head to head with Jay James in the bottom two, Paul belted out ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ by music giants Queen, but it wasn’t enough to impress the audience, who voted him out after the ever-indecisive judges went to deadlock. Mel B is not disheartened, and insists that her remaining contestant, Italian fashionista Andrea Faustini, is the ‘most likeable’ contender in the competition. Speaking on the Xtra Factor, she said: “I think all the contestants are but I have to say my Andrea is the lightest most likeable guy. He never gets stressed out, he never feels the pressure….or he doesn’t show it.” Stereo Kicks had quite a different shock this week, in the form of comedian Simon Brodkin, AKA Lee Nelson, who ran onstage during their rousing performance of Michael Jackson’s ‘You are not alone’. Brodkin was quickly grabbed and escorted offstage by security, and later tweeted: “There are so many of them I thought anyone could have a go. Really hope the boys keep me on #LeeNelsonForStereoKicks.” After the performance, Louis Walsh joked: “Everyone wants to be in this band now – someone just walked out of the audience onto the stage!” You never know Simon, you might be in with a chance yet… Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has been making headlines yet again this week, this time for her flashy accessories – the songstress reportedly brought a bodyguard to The X Factor this week to protect £1 million worth of jewellery. An insider claims Cheryl was wearing a  Vashi Dominguez ring valued at £843k, as well as some pricey drop earrings worth around £200k All this extra bling meant she felt the need for a bodyguard around her at all times – not a complaint we can all empathise with! Band Aid 30 There has also been some exciting news announced about next week’s show, coming from none other than Bob Geldof – it has been revealed that the new Band Aid single will have its world premiere on this week’s results show, airing on Sunday. As well as previous X-Factor guests Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and One-Direction, the song will feature such stars as  Emeli Sande, Ellie Goulding, Bastille, Foals, Chris Martin and Bono. Money raised by the song will help fund relief efforts to fight the spread of the Ebola virus in West Africa. Sam Smith and One Direction wowed us last weekend, and this week will feature another X-Factor blast from the past as previous judge Nicole Scherzinger takes to the stage. Next week’s theme has been announced as Big Bands, so expect some epic performances from our remaining contestants. So tune in to TV3 this weekend to catch the next live shows, on Saturday 15 November at 7.30pm and Sunday 16 November at 8.15pm.
