September is DoneDeal Charity Month

The perfect time for a clear out! The 3 charities that will benefit from September #DoneDealCharityMonth are: Irish Kidney Association Purple House Cancer Support Wexford Hospice Homecare Services Irish Kidney Association Renata chose the Irish Kidney Association and with 25 branches countrywide, their primary role is to support patients and their families effected by end stage kidney disease.  Patients are either being treated by dialysis or have a working kidney transplant. The support given by the IKA helps patients and families live as normal a life as possible, given the presence of kidney related illness.  The IKA also distribute and promote public awareness for Organ Donor Cards. ”I chose the IKA as my nominated charity because they provide all of their services free to patients, including financial support, counselling, accommodation in their support centre and because Organ Donation is so vitally important.”   Renata Marini, DoneDeal Purple House Cancer Support Frazer chose Purple House Cancer Support which is a registered charity in Ireland that provides cancer support services and facilities free of charge to people affected by cancer in the Leinster area. They are based on Parnell Road, Bray & also facilitate an outreach Cancer Support Clinic in Dun Laoghaire.  A ‘Drop-In’ Support and Information Service is at the hub of Purple House, which is open from 10am to 1pm on weekdays. ”The reason I chose Purple House Cancer Support is to enable them deliver as much practical help to cancer sufferers as possible via their support groups, classes, therapies and services.”  Frazer Waters, DoneDeal County Wexford Hospice Homecare County Wexford Hospice Homecare is Dan’s chosen charity this month and was established in 1991 by a voluntary committee to provide a home-based Specialist Palliative Care Service in County Wexford.  The aim of the service is to enhance the palliative care of patients in the home and community throughout Co. Wexford and to support and assist their families and professional carers. The service is provided by a group of specialist palliative care nurses. ”I chose Co.
