It’s been a fantastic result once again for our DoneDeal Charity Month. During the month of September, from all the ads you DoneDealers placed, we donated €32,796 to the charity pot shared equally between these 3 charities: Epilepsy Care Foundation Féileacáin Aiséirí All 3 charities came to visit the DoneDeal offices and receive their cheque and while they were here they shared with us how much this donation from DoneDealers will help: Speaking at the cheque presentation: Brian Geraghty, Trustee from Epilepsy Care Foundation said: “Thanks to DoneDeal for the generous donation which will provide us with funding for our current project. As with other charities we receive no funding from government or local councils for the services we provide therefore we depend greatly on donations.
DoneDeal have shown how the business community can provide financial assistance to charities such as ourselves. Donations do not have to be large as every cent received helps charities such as ourselves and the other beneficiaries to continue working towards our aims.
We would also like to congratulate DoneDeal on having passed the €1 million mark in the level of donations it has provided through this initiative.” Mairie Cregan from Féileacáin told us: “Feileacain is hugely grateful to DoneDeal for such a generous donation, which will have a huge impact on the experience of women going through the trauma of pregnancy loss in the CUMH.
This donation is going towards the refurbishment of the Emergency Department in the CUMH, Wilton, Co. Cork in loving memory of Eleni and Eve.
We offer a heartfelt thank you and our sincere gratitude to DoneDeal for allowing us to complete this project that has been in the pipeline for so long. Thank you.” Paul Conlon, Aiséirí CEO said: “For our charity to receive a generous donation from DoneDeal is truly a sign of community spirit and good will. We were overwhelmed by the initiative that DoneDeal have adopted in reaching out to and help people in need. Ultimately their donation has already made a difference to our centre. It’s remarkable, they have set a meaningful precedent that we would hope other companies can mirror.” #Charity #LatestCharityMonths
