Photography by: www.paulamalonecarty.com We were delighted to welcome representatives from three very worthwhile charities; The Irish Kidney Association, Purple House Cancer Support and County Wexford Hospice Homecare, to our offices here in Wexford recently for the charity cheque presentation.  Each of the charities received an amazing boost to their charity funds to the tune of €11,398 each. We would like to say a massive thanks to you our DoneDealers for all of the ads placed during the month of September. The 10% contribution from each ad placed means that we are able to make a real difference to these three deserving charities. A little about the Charities who benefited…. The Irish Kidney Association The Irish Kidney Association have 25 branches countrywide, their primary role is to support patients and their families effected by end stage kidney disease.  Patients are either being treated by dialysis or have a working kidney transplant. The support given by the IKA helps patients and families live as normal a life as possible, given the presence of kidney related illness.  The IKA also distribute and promote public awareness for Organ Donor Cards. Purple House Cancer Support Purple House Cancer Support is a registered charity in Ireland that provides cancer support services and facilities free of charge to people affected by cancer in the Leinster area. County Wexford Hospice Homecare County Wexford Hospice Homecare provide a home-based Specialist Palliative Care Service in County Wexford.  The aim of the service is to enhance the palliative care of patients in the home and community throughout Co. Wexford and to support and assist their families and professional carers. Speaking at the cheque presentation: ‘On behalf of The Irish Kidney Association and the patients who rely on our services, I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to Renata Marini for thinking of us and everyone at DoneDeal for their support. We are blown away by your kindness and generosity. The donation will make a huge difference for our patients and their families.’ James Reynolds, The Irish Kidney Association. ———————————- ‘Everyone here at Purple House Cancer Support,  particularly our clients and the families we support, we would like to say a huge thank you to the staff and customers of DoneDeal for this amazing donation.  Your support will help us to provide vital Cancer Support Services to families touched by and affected by Cancer and allow us to help rebuild their lives following a Cancer diagnosis.  We have a waiting list for our Counselling service and thanks to DoneDeal we will be able to provide more counselling sessions. We will also roll out more camps & workshops for children affected by Cancer, which will focus on areas such as self-development, dance & art expression.’ Conor O’Leary, Purple House Cancer Support. ———————————- ”The extraordinary generosity and efforts of the general public who work so hard at fundraising and organising events, make Wexford Hospice Homecare possible in County Wexford.  Without the thoughtfulness, kindness and tenacity of the people that fundraise and donate to the charity, like DoneDeal, Wexford Hospice Homecare would not be possible. We would not currently be in existence to provide the wonderful services we provide right now.  We assure you that all funds raised stay in Wexford and are used to continue the service of the Wexford Hospice Homecare Nurses, who are volunteers, travelling throughout the County not incurring any expenses.” Joe Costello, County Wexford Hospice Homecare. #Charity #LatestCharityMonths
