Amazing results at the Madra Adopathon!!

Diesel found his forever home via the adoptathon A massive well done to Marina and all the team in Madra for their exceptional work during the recent adoptathon in Galway. We were so proud to see the great write up they received in the Journal.ie that we had to share the article with you:
http://www.thejournal.ie/adopted-dogs-madra-575956-Aug2012/ Madra have been rehoming dogs via our Adoption Programme since July 2011 so we were delighted to hear they managed to re-home a further 30 dogs over the weekend! It just shows what can be achieved by welfare groups around the country to impact the destruction rates in Ireland. Madra have been working closely with Mayo and Galway county councils and since 2005 the county Galway put-to-sleep rate has fallen from 83 per cent to 18 cent, while in Co Mayo it has fallen from 72 per cent in 2008 to 11 per cent in 2011.  The charity rescues approximately 600 dogs every year. For more information, visit www.madra.ie. To view their dogs available for adoption on DoneDeal just click here or search “madra” in our adoption section.  We’re delighted to see so many success stories via our adoption ads on the site to date. If you have a rescue centre or know of a group that could benefit from advertising their dogs for adoption for free on DoneDeal, PLEASE, just get them to fill in this online application form. Keep up the good work!
