Thanks to the overwhelming amount of ads placed by DoneDealers during the month of March, we have been able to donate €39,759 to the charity pot. This has been shared equally between: Hand in Hand Solas Centre Waterford Cunamh Mhuire Pre-school We were delighted to meet all 3 charities and hear about how this donation will help so many people. Speaking at the cheque presentation: Jennifer Carpenter, Development Officer for Hand in Hand said: “Hand in Hand provide practical and emotional support to families who have a child with cancer. Hand in Hand take care of the day to day responsibilities of family life so that families have more precious time to care for their loved ones. The donation from DoneDeal will be used to continue to reach more families than ever and provide them with the practical support that will enable them to spend more precious time with their children throughout their cancer treatment. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to DoneDeal and to all who contributed to this incredible donation.” Mr. Michael J. Nevin, Manager for the Solas Centre said: “Cancer affects the lives of so many families and we have seen the Solas Centre has seen a 15% increase in demand for services in 2013. The donation from DoneDeal will further support service provision to people affected by cancer across Waterford and the South East. We are extremely grateful to have the support of DoneDeal including both the donation to enable us to continue to provide our services and also importantly DoneDeal spreading the word about the mission of the foundation to their customers.” Anne O’Reilly, Pre-School Leader at Cunamh Mhuire Pre-School, said: “The demand for our pre-school service is ever increasing and the children who avail of this service are maximising their opportunities to access mainstream education. To get a tremendous donation like this is quite unprecedented compared to the donations we generally get provided. It will enable the Pre-School to make some improvements and purchases that were previously on the ‘Wish List’ as opposed to the ‘Needs List’ and children will be availing of these for many years to come. The charity support from DoneDeal is quite amazing and they cannot be commended highly enough for their generosity and community spirit.” Emer Keeling & the absolutely adorable Josh Henderick from Cunamh Mhuire. The visit was topped off with possibly the nicest present we’ve ever received here at DoneDeal.
The kids from Cunamh Mhuire Pre-School, the same children that will benefit from all the money your DoneDeal ads have raised, made us this beautiful “Thank You” card and a whole basket full of the most delicious easter buns and cakes.
Josh was kind enough to present them to us on behalf of his little class mates – he had the whole office eating out of the palm of his hand 😉 This is an example of what your DoneDeal ad can do – Thank you DoneDealers!
