Photo kindly taken & provided by Paula Malone Carty Photography Yet again we had a really great response for February’s DoneDeal Charity Month. DoneDealers placed so many ads this month that the charity pot came to a life-changing €38,089.80 that has now been shared equally between: Ronald McDonald House Make A Wish Ireland Castlebar Social Services We invited all 3 charities down to our office here in Wexford to present the cheque and hear first hand just how important this donation is to these charities. Speaking at the presentation: Susan O’Dwyer, CEO of Make-A-Wish Ireland said, “This much needed donation will go towards helping us reduce our waiting list this year. Every child’s imagination is different therefore no two wishes are ever the same. Wishes can be anything from meeting Peppa Pig, to visiting Lapland or living the life of a princess for a day. DoneDeal will be helping us to put a smile on a family’s face and create enriching experiences that will never be forgotten.” Marian Carroll, CEO (Volunteer) of The Ronald McDonald House Charity said, “After ten years we are about to give our 3 kitchens a well-deserved ‘facelift.’ The very generous donation from DoneDeal will make a significant contribution towards the cost of replacing the kitchen press doors and helping with the new kitchen equipment we need to purchase. On behalf of all of us here at The Ronald McDonald House we would like to thank DoneDeal for choosing us as their charity for March and for making an enormous difference to so many families.’’ Also speaking at the presentation was Deirdre Waldron of Castlebar Social Service said, “The donation will go a long way in assisting our 7 day meals on wheels service here in Castlebar serving 80 people each day. We will use the money to update some of our kitchen equipment and for the purchase of ingredients for the preparation of meals and dinner trays which are the most up to date, hygienic method used. The leadership of DoneDeal are truly showing an initiative and a most valuable path into the future that other industries should model. Thank you DoneDeal.” As you can see DoneDealers, your ads really are making a difference, a huge difference! Because of all the ads you place during our bi-monthly #DoneDealCharityMonths, we are just about to hit €750,000 donated to various charities so far and we’re not nearly done yet! Place your ad today or anytime during the month of March we’ll give 10% to the charity pot for this month’s 3 deserving charities.
