Photography for the photos: www.paulamalonecarty.com We would like to say a massive thanks to you our DoneDealers for all of the ads placed during the month of November. The 10% contribution from each ad placed means that we are able to make a real difference to three very worthwhile charities; Pieta House, Irish Premature Babies and Breast Cancer Ireland.  These charities were chosen by staff members Padraig Howlin, Brian Meskill and Paul Donovan. As a result of this initiative, each charity will now receive the significant sum of €10,571 with the total for the month amounting to a fantastic €31,714. Over the course of 2016 €238,456 was donated and this brings the overall charity total to €1,302,769 since the initiative begun. The cheque presentation took place in The Bull Ring, Wexford on Monday 5th of December, with representatives from each of the three charities present. The charity representatives commented as follows: Allison Molloy, Voluntary Chairperson of Irish Premature Babies said; ‘’On behalf of the charity, we are really so grateful to DoneDeal for choosing Irish Premature Babies. We are a small charity, I am here seven years volunteering and it really gave us a great boost to hear that a large organisation like DoneDeal would support us.’’ Speaking on behalf of Pieta House, Brian Campbell, Communications Manager said; ‘’We rely a lot on donations to help continue the life-saving work we do at Pieta House. Each €1,000 donated or raised will get a client through approximately 15 sessions of therapy at Pieta house and can save their life – usually by the eight or tenth session the person is out of their crisis.’’ Aisling Hurley, CEO of Breast Cancer Ireland commented on the donation as follows; “Breast Cancer Ireland’s pioneering research and awareness programmes around the country will benefit from the generous donation raised through the DoneDeal Charity Month initiative, and funds raised will help in our efforts to transform breast cancer from often being a fatal disease with 680 deaths annually, into a treatable illness.” Commenting on the charity donation, Agnes Swaby, Marketing Manager at DoneDeal said: ‘’ On behalf of DoneDeal, we are delighted to support another three worthy charities and the amazing work they do in Ireland. To date, DoneDeal has raised an amazing total of €1,302,769 for various charities across the country.’’ #Charity
